My name is Noemi Pisu
and I am an Italian language consultant, specialising in interpreting, translation and intercultural and international communication.
My passion for languages began very early on, almost by chance. I still remember when, during my second year of primary school, a new classmate from Venezuela joined our class. She didn’t speak Italian yet.
From the very beginning, I felt a strong curiosity to understand her and to make myself understood — to find a way to communicate despite our differences.
That afternoon, I went home feeling confused and almost indignant, and with the naïveté of a seven-year-old, I asked my parents:
“Why do we only speak Italian?”
Looking back, I believe that moment marked the beginning of my desire to overcome linguistic and cultural barriers.
My background & training
Over time, that initial curiosity developed into a solid and versatile academic background.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Languages and cultures for tourism and international commerce, followed by a Master’s degree in Interpreting and translation, which allowed me to turn my passion for languages into a fully-fledged professional skill.
Throughout my studies and early career, I lived and worked abroad: I spent one academic year in Spain, completed an internship in Ireland, and later worked in Portugal.
These experiences strengthened my ability to communicate in multicultural and international settings, and taught me that translation is not just about words, but about understanding people.
